Tallahassee Woman is a bimonthly magazine with information and entertainment for women and is distributed on a complimentary basis throughout the greater Tallahassee area.

Our mission is to capture the spirit of Tallahassee women who are devoted to living their lives to the fullest potential in their families, home, career, and community. We strive to provide features and articles that enrich women’s lives, and inspire women to live each day to the fullest.

Tallahassee Woman is a unique publication by women for women that covers the issues, trends, and the spirit of women that live, work, and play in our community. Every issue includes topics of interest such as family, career, fashion, business, home, health, trends, the arts, money, relationships, travel, food, and more that are selected to inform and entertain our readers as well as to enhance their lifestyle.

Where to find the magazine:

Tallahassee Woman can be found in hundreds of locations in and around Tallahassee. Copies can be picked up at  locations around Tallahassee that women often frequent, such as doctors’ offices, libraries, salons, spas, hospitals, fitness centers, hotels, banks, state office buildings, and retail establishments. Copies are also available at the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and through the Tallahassee Visitors Center. Dr. Michelle Mitcham is the publisher and editor of Tallahassee Woman. In addition, she is a professor, psychotherapist, success coach, trainer, professional speaker, wife and mother. She brings extensive experience from her background in education, scholarly and newspaper writing, counseling, leadership, family mediation, empowerment, community service, and diversity training. With her vision of empowering all women of Tallahassee and “meeting people where they are” philosophy, Michelle looks forward to the TWM 2019 theme; the year of WE – Women Empowered, focused on authentic women being true to themselves, finding their voice.

As Chief Development Officer, Cookie Godfrey will ensure the development and success of Tallahassee Woman Magazine by coordinating and contributing to strategic planning for organizational revenue growth.

Cookie brings over fourteen years of achievement in diverse work settings and includes experience as both Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Catering. She then gained experience as Director of Revenue Management where she oversaw the revenue and yield management for Hotel Duval from 2009-2013.

Marcia Warfel is the Director of Public Relations for Tallahassee Woman Magazine. Marcia is an active community advocate for women and girls, and humanitarian relief. She has been honored as a Woman of Distinction through the Girl Scouts of Florida Panhandle. Currently she serves as a member of Club 25 – Women to Know, Capital Women’s Network, and Lean-in Tallahassee. Marcia is an active member of multiple associations, including the Tallahassee and Minority Chamber of Commerce, Business and Professional Women of Tallahassee – past Legislative Chair. Her prior service includes Commissioner and Community Liaison for the Leon County/City of Tallahassee Commission on the Status of Women and Girls,

Ericka McKibbon

Director of Community Initiatives

Ericka McKibbon is part of the TWM team in the role of Director of Community Initiatives. Ericka has over 24 years of experience in community development and non-profit leadership. She has been an active member of the Tallahassee community as the founder of Girls on the Run of the Big Bend, former commissioner with the Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, Past President of Club 25 Women, a Leadership Tallahassee Alumni, and Director of the Housing Leadership Council. Ericka’s mission is to help individuals and communities unleash their potential to bring about positive change.
